First made in 1963, the original Birkenstock “exercise sandal”, is celebrating 60 years!  The Madrid is designed to exercise the foot and lower leg as you wear it.  Your foot will flex and grip the toe bar while walking, thus promoting good circulation, building strength and helping to prevent injury. This model comes in a particularly cozy version with a color-coordinated shearling lined footbed and straps.
